Many countries already have the system of online election, but this is the first time we Indians can taste how a virtual election feels like, though partially it is now possible (not in real election yet). India Today Group (a leading news network of India) has come up with this innovative idea for the pre-election survey. It’s not like any other pre-election survey here one person can cast only one vote. So, be the first of your friends to cast your vote online for the first time in India.
1) Open ‘election.intoday.in’ in your web browser.
The process of casting your vote is simple. Let me tell you step by step instruction.

2) Here you will see the map of India. Simply click/select on the state from which you want to cast vote.
3) A menu will appear from this menu select the state.
4) Now, it will ask for your mobile no, enter your no. So, that they can send you a password.
5) You will now see a list of parties contending from that state, simply select the party you want to cast your vote for and enter the password you received in box below party names and click vote.
6) That’s it, you will also see the live result of that region in same window. Congratulation you have successfully casted your vote in India first virtual election.
The trend of online voting is new to India and our electoral commission should take some note from this initiative of India Today Group to implement the same in real election and make our live and election more simple.
