Why Should You Use Antivirus Software For Your Computer?

World is changing at a very fast pace and so does the computer and its technology. We all know computer is one of the biggest achievements of human brain. When it was invented no one would have thought that it would become an integral part of our day-to-day life/work. All of our information is now digital, whether it’s our bank-account, our income tax returns, confidential files or online reservation etc. With every new invention/discovery there are also people who just have interest in exploiting it out and stealing your information (these people are hackers). You will not like any one taking a look at them or stealing it without your knowledge. Most of us also use portable drive (pendrives, CD etc.) for sharing file, movies etc., but how can we trust it; that it is not infected with any virus, Trojans or any malware computer. And now give a Big thanks to internet it has become more easy for any hacker to compromise your computer from his place if we do not protect it. So, it becomes more important than before to protect your PC.

We can’t stop our self from using internet or any portable drive with our computer as it is a vast source of information and our many important works. Then what should we do? Well to protect you and your information from these greedy people Antivirus comes to your rescue. It is a small software which is specially designed to protect your information from these threats and keep your data secure. It scans your computer and monitors your activity closely on daily real-time basis. It is even highly recommended by computer manufacturer; even some manufacturer provides you with one on your new PC. If don’t have one then you can get one from nearby computer peripherals shop and does not cost big bucks on your pocket.

Tips for choosing an Antivirus:

1) Go for a premium (paid) one as free antivirus are just jokes on you by their makers and does not do any good for you. Sadly, In India people don’t understand it and mostly user prefer free version over paid one.

2) Keep your antivirus database up-to-date as new viruses are made every second and manufacturer update their database daily to protect you from them.

3) Before buying any antivirus do a thorough research to see which one protects you better as market is full of them and do not choose any paid one randomly as it about your money & protection.

4) Check for an upgrade of your antivirus by their manufacturer as there may be some bug fixes to your present antivirus (hackers even don’t lefts those security loops to compromise your system security).

Why People Through Coin in River

While travelling nearby a river you may have seen many people throwing coins into it and poor guys searching for that coin in river through magnet. I myself have seen it many times. Throwing Coins in water is common all over the world. But most of these people in India do not know the reason of throwing coin and just following the crowd on the name of custom. So, decided to do some research and find out the truth behind it.

We will talk both: what people saying and the Scientific or ancient reason.

What People Believe/say:
Rivers in all countries is considered significant as a source of fresh water. It helps in many important works like agriculture, drinking, irrigation, electricity production, etc. In India Rivers are worshipped by many Indians as they consider it sacred & Goddess.

The general reasoning given for this coin throwing act is that, it brings Good Luck to us. It is also believed that it will bring Goddess of Wealth (Lakshmi) to our households.

Scientific/Ancient Reason:
In ancient times all civilisations used to live near water: lakes and rivers. As rivers were the only sources of water that time. Clean water was essential for drinking and survival. In the ancient times, most of the currency used was made of copper unlike the stainless steel coins of today. You may even know of the ANNAs (made of copper) which were used in the pre-independent times.  Copper is a vital metal very useful to the human & has a
unique property of attracting dirt. The intake of copper with water is very good for
health body (you may have seen people drinking through copper pots/glasses). If coin remains in rivers for a long time then copper present in coin gets dissolved in river water & becomes beneficial for those who drink it. Throwing coins in the river was one way our ancestors ensured we intake sufficient copper as part of the water & also all dirt used to settle down at bottom leaving water on top free from germs and making it a custom by saying it will bring good fortune to us has ensured that all of us follow the good practice.
Unfortunately in modern times there are no copper coins and people blindly following this tradition people without knowing the actual truth & at some point affecting our country economic growth(suppose: At 1 holy place along a river 100 people through Rs1 coin in whole day, that equals to Rs100 and there are 10 such places on single river then it equals Rs1000/day then for 1month=Rs30000 & 1year=Rs360000 now you can calculate the total for whole country. This is just an overview to give you, real figures could be more high). The money is totally getting waste.

So, now you know why people through coin. What your take on this issue, tell us in comment below and do subscribe us for more stories like this.

Things to keep in mind while buying android phone

We all makes mistake while making our first purchase of something which is very new to us and purchasing your first smartphone is no exception to it and that also when it is android based. With so much of different varieties of android phone from cheap to premium price, we all do get confused which to buy. In this article we will cover some basic and most important features for android based phone without which your smartphone will not be a smartphone.

So, let’s take a look at all features one by one.

1. Display
It is the most important part of the smartphone as a common user has to interact with it whole time while dealing with his phone. There are two types of display capacitive display and a resistive display though today most smart phone come with a capacitive display but you may find some resistive display. If you find a phone with resistive display simply avoid it as you have to press hard on these type of display to get the feedback. You should settle now where below an IPS display with at least greater than 800px of resolution as this is what which defines the clarity of your screen and video play back quality.

2. Processor
It is a heart of any smartphone the healthier it is the better it works. It is what make a smartphone a real smartphone, it helps you load apps quickly on your phone. We suggest you minimum 1GHz processor, don’t go below this if you want true smartphone. It is advised to go for a dual or more better quad-core processor but these are available only in high price phone at present.

3. RAM(Random Access Memory)
It help you do multitasking on your phone, for which smartphone are known. We advise you to go for minimum 512MB of RAM don’t ever try to go below that as it may make your apps crash frequently and could even make them not openable as android itself consume a lot of RAM as compared to other OS(Windows Phone, Symbian). The more you have RAM the more you can multi-task(switch b/w apps).

4. Internal memory(Phone Memory)
Today there are lot of cheap android phone available in the market. But according to me they are of no use and totally waste of money, especialy android phones below Rs. 5000. As most of them comes with very low (256 to 512) which is quite low for an android phone. As most of the space is covered by the OS itself and suppose you have a 256MB internal memory model then you get only around 100MB free memory for yourself to install apps which is quite low. As in android when you install apps they first get installed on your internal memory after that you can transfer them to you SD card(through app). But then also a portion of app remains on your phone memory and with that little phone memory you can only install around 5-6 apps on your phone out of millions of apps available in store.

5. OS(android version)
World of mobile computing is changing at very fast pace and android OS is not any exception to it. Android is changing at very fast speed the android phone you bought today may look old you after 6-months this is the speed by which android is getting upgraded. But that speed is not maintained by manufacturer of upgrading there phone to new android specially if you have bought a not so popular brand phone. At the time of writing this article Android 4.3(kit-kat) is  the latest version of android and will be available for update from October. So, according to me you should go for android 4.0(ICS) which is not very old and similar to newer version of android. Please don't buy a android 2.3(gingerbread) phone as it is a very old android OS.

6. Camera(Optional)
It is an essential thing now a days for photography lovers like me, as you never know when you get special moment which you want to remember for long or want to share with others on your social network or somewhere else. You cannot carry your digital camera everywhere. So, at that time your phone camera comes as handy. According to me go for at least 5MP autofocus camera (you can opt for 3MP also). Go for an auto focus camera but don’t go for a fixed focus camera. As auto focus camera gives you more vivid and detailed photograph.

You should keep all this in mind while buying you first android smartphone. If you have any suggestion put them in comment section below.

Apple launches iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C

Apple has unveiled two new iPhones today, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. With the launch of iPhone 5S, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 5(not in India yet as new iPhone is not yet available here) that was rolled out last year.

Let’s take a look at both iPhone 5S & 5C one by one.

iPhone 5S
It is the new premium device with very little new innovation for which apple is known. The iPhone 5S has a 4-inch 1136×640pixel IPS display, which is identical to the current iPhone 5. What’s new in the  iPhone 5S is: a faster processor, improved camera, colour additions(gold) and a fingerprint scanner.

According to Apple, it’s the “most forward-thinking phone we’ve ever created.”
The most important improvement in it is the A7 chip, a 64-bit desktop-class architecture which is the first ever of its kind in a smartphone and is twice as fast as previous processors in performing tasks and rendering graphics which makes it truly a computer shrunk to a 102mm size.

The new GPU supports OpenGL 3.0, which is one of the newest frameworks for 3D games (which also recently came to Android 4.3).

Another most important addition to the device is a digital fingerprint scanner and is inbuilt into home button. Called Touch ID, “it reads your fingerprint at an entirely new level,” with 500ppi resolution and 360 degree readability.

It can be used to unlock iPhone. Apple says Touch ID has been deeply integrated into iOS 7. All fingerprint information is encrypted and stored on the chip itself. Touch ID can also be used as a secure way to approve purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store or iBooks Store. It allows you to authenticate purchases using just a slight depression of the home button. There is a sapphire crystal lens that takes a photo of a user’s fingerprint and analyses it for consistency.

The camera is also improved with an 8MP camera, which comes with dual-LED flash. The camera's  15% larger active sensor area than that of its predecessor and offers better low-light performance.

Apple claims that this phone's camera can take 20 photos in two seconds, features auto image stabilization new burst mode at up to 10fps. The software analyses multi-photo series and chooses the best one(similar to Best Shot from the HTC One and Galaxy S4) and can records 720p videos at 120 frames per second (which is the highest for any smartphone). 1080p videos are recorded at 30fps.

iPhone 5S also has an all-new M7 chip that tracks motion data without waking the A7 chip and interacts with health apps to give fitness data. However, Apple claimed the two-chip system does not affect battery life of the device, which promises 10 hours of battery life from LTE browsing and 3G talk time, along with 40 hours of music playback and a staggering 250 hours of standby.

The iPhone 5S comes in a new gold colour, in addition to the existing white and slate.

Availability
Pre-order for the iPhone 5C will begin on the 13th while the iPhone 5S can be booked starting from the 20th. iPhone 5S(with contract) will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model. The 16, 32 and 64GB unlocked variants have been priced in the US at a hefty $649, $749 and $849, respectively.

In first phase, iPhone 5S will start retailing in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK on September 20.

iPhone 5C
There is not much in the iPhone 5C to say and looks as if iPhone 5 has been packed in new design on seeing it specs, it is have most specs same as older iPhone 5 with just new iOS7, a new HD FaceTime camera on the front  & polycarbonate body instead of aluminium body. Rest is all same as iPhone 5, a 4-inch display with 1136×640 pixel resolution, A6 chip and 1GB of RAM & an 8MP iSight camera on the back with BSI, IR filter and 5-element lens.

Connectivity options in the new handset include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi  and will be available in green, yellow, blue, white and red colour.

It looks as if iPhone 5 coming with new design & and a name change iPhone 5C.

Availability
The 16GB variant of this smartphone will cost $99 on two-year contract, while the 32GB version has been priced at $199. The unlocked 16 and 32GB versions of the iPhone 5C have been priced at $549 and $649, respectively. The company also announced cases in six colours for this handset, which will cost $29 a piece.
